The ARD International Music Competition is one of the most prestigious competitions in classical music worldwide and has played a considerable role in shaping major careers for decades.
Since 2023, Marillon Couture has sponsored a special prize worth €2.500 for a bespoke concert outfit. We are delighted to create a truly unique piece each year, which accompanies the prize-winners on stage throughout their musical careers.

For whom does Marillon Couture create concert dress?
We craft bespoke outfits for female soloists and conductors, male soloists and conductors, female orchestral musicians, male orchestral musicians, chamber and vocal ensembles, and even for entire choirs.

From idea to stage: a collaborative process
The journey towards creating a bespoke garment begins with a constructive and trusting conversation, during which we listen to you and get to know one another. It is on this basis that initial ideas take shape, ultimately resulting in your bespoke concert attire.
Not based locally?
Marillon Couture creates concert clothing for musicians from near and far. If you’re not based in Leipzig, we’ll find a way for us to meet in person. We can then decide how best to liaise and organise any necessary fittings to design and create your perfectly tailored stage attire.
Getting to know each other
In our first, open discussion, we listen carefully to your thoughts and wishes and work with you to develop some initial ideas.
Personalised quote
We will provide you with a detailed quote with specific designs, fabric samples and prices.
Second appointment
When we meet for the second time, we’ll take your exact measurements and finalise the choice of fabric and patterns.
Fitting
The ‘shell’ is complete! We will now make all the necessary adjustments and, depending on the garment, carry out one or two further fittings.
Collection
As soon as it’s complete, we’ll meet up again so you can collect your unique, bespoke stage attire.
